L’Arche Tahoma Hope is a nonprofit organization located in the South Puget Sound region of WA state. We are a person-centered and relationship-focused organization that works with people with and without intellectual disabilities. We aim to create a culture and society where we celebrate the vulnerabilities of what it means to be human and integrate inclusive practices for people of all abilities. We share life in our 3 group homes, in our Farm and Gardens program, and in our Welcome Center programs.
Job Brief
Guided by the Mission and Charter of L’Arche, Awake Overnight assistants are Direct Support Professionals are expected to maintain a standard of care in line with properly supporting and protecting the well-being of the core members. (People with Intellectual Disabilities we support.) Awake Overnight assistants support in maintaining the household (cleaning, laundry) and supporting all overnight needs of core members overnight.
Key Qualities
- Ability and openness to listen to people – both verbal and non-verbal listening.
- Self Guided/able to structure time and responsibilities
- Thorough communication via e-mail and documentation
- Willingness to accept and use constructive feedback.
Wage
$20/hr
