L’Arche USA Engagement Specialist, Kyla Ponciano, offered her thoughts on this month’s value:
Every day we learn. We never stop learning. We are always growing new cells, no matter how old. There is not just academic learning, but also spiritual learning, learning from nature, learning from our lived experiences, artistic learning, etc. Different styles of learning allow us each to absorb information in our own unique way. All our brains are different. This gives us unique perspectives and skills. As we learn, we deepen our understanding of life and better connect with the world around us.
At L’Arche, we hold a constant posture of learning and curiosity. We know their is much wisdom to be gained from connecting across differences and fostering authentic community.
