About L’Arche Atlanta: L’Arche Atlanta (www.larcheatlanta.org) is a member organization of the international federation of L’Arche (pronounced LARSH; French for “the ark”), a network of 160 communities in 38 countries dedicated to building inclusive community for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our unique approach combines individualized care with relationship building that honors the dignity and gifts of each person in our community. In Atlanta, our mission is to transform lives by building community among people with and without disabilities and our vision is a world where everyone belongs. We have three programs: residential services, community outreach, and advocacy. Since our founding in 2012, we have opened two homes in the Decatur area, serve over 500 people through our community outreach programs, and have interviewed over 140 individuals with disabilities across the state of Georgia to ensure legislators are hearing the voices of persons with disabilities as they make policy decisions.
The Development Director will be responsible for leading and managing L’Arche Atlanta’s fundraising efforts to raise $1 million in annual operating support and successfully complete upcoming house campaigns. L’Arche Atlanta has a robust fundraising program with diversified philanthropic revenue streams including foundation grants, major gifts, digital and print appeals, social media and crowd-sourced campaigns, and government grants.
